In addition, MyStrands introduces:

New mobile solutions: MyStrands for Symbian is here, your one-stop mobile music player, playlist builder and music recommender. It helps you find and interact with partyStrands parties at bars, let's you see what your friends are listening to and helps you organize and discover new music through recommendations, tags and the community. All this is also available through the new MyStrands mobile web portal and MyStrands for Windows Mobile.

2.5 million commercial full-length songs to listen to for free. You can play whole albums, and soon artists and other users? playlists, up to three times per song, thanks to Napster (registration required at Napster.com, only valid in the USA).
All three worlds, mobile, on-line and physical are seamlessly integrated at MyStrands and all the information (music, people, photos, text messages, and more) generated through any of these 3 worlds can be accessed real time via computer or mobile phone. Why limit yourself to your home computer when all the fun is out there and available on-the-go?
The new partyStrands: Why should we expect the MySpace generation to party the way we did 10 years ago?

PartyStrands is an interactive service for party organizers, bars, clubs and DJs, that utilizes mobile phones, digital music and screens, and offers partygoers a new and fresh way to have fun.
Now, the MyStrands software application (download here) comes with a personal version of partyStrands and allows you to host parties right from your PC; if you're not in the partying mood, partyStrands becomes a personal DJ playing your and your friends favorite hits. (It works with iTunes, WMP and Winamp, Mac version to come).
So, what can you do with partyStrands?:
Organize interactive parties
With partyStrands, partygoers can interact with each other by sending text messages and pictures to the screens for everyone to see and organize votes on songs, drinks, most popular guy/girl and more. Partygoers then choose the winner all from their cell phones.
There is more... Partygoers can choose the music by using their cell phones, and also influence the night?s music. If partygoer Bill sends a text message requesting Nirvana and Trevor requests Green Day, not only will the music from these two bands be played, but the rest of the music will be automatically selected to appeal to Nirvana and Green Day fans. The music is chosen from the bar?s music library or a pre-selected playlist, and the song and album art are displayed on the screen together with the names of the partygoers influencing the song.
Some DJs or venues want to decide what music they play and when. They can disable the social programming tool and have full control. In this case, partyStrands displays the album art and song name on the screen. DJs can even display the name and images of their custom mixes.
Merge your physical, online and mobile worlds
If partygoers join as members of an online community (MySpace, MyStrands, Last.fm), the music will be played based on their music tastes as reflected by their online profiles. Also, their profile pictures or avatars will be displayed together with the text messages they send.
The day after, partyStrands helps you remember what happened last night; it automatically creates a web site for each new venue where users can go and see the text messages, photos, partygoers, and the playlist, from last night?s party. All this information is updated real-time to the website and mobile website. What if you are not at a party and looking for some fun? Get your mobile phone (or go online) and check out, in real time, what parties are taking place or what bars are open now, who is at the party, what music is playing and what people are saying. partyStrands is the best tool to decide where to have some fun.
Party 24-7, regardless of your location
PartyStrands allows you to join in on the party where your friends are even though you are somewhere else. Imagine that tonight you stay at home, you can participate in the party from your room and interact with your friends at the party by sending messages and pictures all from MyStrands.com or m.MyStrands.com. You can read, see, and "hear" what the partygoers are doing and the music that is being played.
Partygoers can interact via text messaging at a cost of ¢50 cents per message (¢30 cents in Spain), or for free through m.MyStrands.com. partyStrands works with all operators in USA (except t-mobile), and Spain. Users in the rest of the countries interact with partyStrands via mobile web at m.MyStrands.com.
